Did you bill my insurance?
Please read your blue and white statement. In the middle of the statement there will be a message indicating what billing actions we have taken. If the statement is not telling you we have billed your insurance please call our office so we may assist you in doing so. If your insurance is not listed in the top left hand corner of the bill please call our office with it or write it on your statement and mail to us.
What is my balance?
Your balance is listed at the bottom right corner of the statement. Any payments made on your account are listed in the middle of your statement. If you do not agree with this balance please call our office.
I have Medicare. Why has it not been billed?
Our office follows Medicare regulations. Medicare states that we need to have your signature on file to authorize billing their office. If we did not obtain your signature at the time of transport, we need it now. Please turn your blue and white statement over and have either the patient or patient representative sign and mail to us for billing.
I cannot afford to pay this bill. Now what?
The City will enter into a payment plan with no minumum balance and no finance charges. If you would like to enter into a plan please indicate this with your first payment and you will receive a new billing each month, or call our office to arrange it. The City also had a financial hardship policy. If you cannot make any payments please submit to us in writing and a copy of your previous year's state income tax return. If guidelines are met, you may be eligible for a write off of your bill.
